Olivia Dark, Level 1 Coach

"I began my netball coaching journey at Bournemouth Netball Club aged just 14, volunteering as part of my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. Taking on an Under 10s team, I led them through weekly league matches, overcoming losses and learning resilience strategies as well as celebrating deserved wins. This experience not only developed my coaching skills but also boosted my confidence and enhanced my communication skills. Building upon this, I went on to achieve my Silver DofE Award, Level 1 UKCC, and many other coaching achievements. In 2018, I was thrilled to receive the Sports Leader of the Year award for my netball coaching efforts, a recognition that fuelled my passion to continue inspiring young athletes in the sport.”

We can offer volunteering opportunity for D of E students from scoring, coaching, fundraising and digital content creation.

Our volunteer committee are always looking for new members, and we welcome anyone who can lend a hand and share the load. We offer fee deduction incentives for our helpers, so please get in touch using the form to discuss how you can get involved with our volunteer coordinator Sophie Flood.
